BA Fine Arts graduate from The University of Pretoria (2013). eLearning specialist, Graphic / Instructional Designer and Front End Developer, with over 8 years experience. Certified counsellor under the Counsel of Counsellors SA as an Art therapist. Consulting Number: IR 10149. I have completed my Usui Reiki Masters with a lineage under Master Mikao Usui. With one year of psychology (University of Pretoria) and a certificate in advanced child care/ child minding, CPR and first aid with Edubabe. I believe there is never a limit to how much one can grow, and look forward to completing studies in Full-Stack web development.
My Story
Born 30 July 1991 in South Africa. I had a passion for the arts and design from a young age. Dancing and competing in competitions from the age of three and finding a way to be creative in all areas of life. Home videos often found me painting or making a general mess outdoors. I am a huge animal activist and avid gamer, with a slight obsession for music.
I completed my BA(HONS) FA Degree at the University of Pretoria in 2013 and then went on to complete my studies in Art Therapy with Art Therapy Academy. Knowing I wanted to combine education and design, I chose to further my studies by completing a First Aid, CPR and advanced child care certificate with EduBabe. I began working as a freelance Graphic and eLearning Designer, and then went on to work as a counsellor with Dr Barbara Wade at the Olive Branch trauma centre, and private au pair before moving forward to campus manager and high school teacher at Odyssey Academy.
In 2017, I spent the most incredible year on Alphonse Island, Seychelles as media production, videographer and photographer. I had the privilege of working with DRIOD and photographer Anthony Grote. I also worked alongside ICS Seychelles during their beach cleanup and wildlife conservation projects.
Moving back to South Africa in 2018, I went back to my core passion; UX and design, where I continued my career as an eLearning Specialist, Instructional Designer and Front – End Developer.
My experience and talents are constantly expanding, as I feel there is no limit to how much one can grow. Having found my passion in combining technology and design, I am looking forward to completing studies in Full Stack Web Development, and Software Engineering
I have an undying need to succeed and enjoy pushing my personal limits and challenging myself. I continually seek ways of thinking outside the box, to make innovative decisions and bring a fresh eye to UI/UX design, media and eLearning content.
I strive to achieve the perfect balance between new and unique with the core elements of design and education.
I am fully computer literate, and have an extensive knowledge on a multitude of software including MS Office, Adobe CC, Social Media Platforms, HowNow, Camtasia Studio, Slack, Figma, Moodle, SYSPRO, HTML5, CSS, WordPress, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate Prime, Powtoon, Doodly, H5P, Social Media Marketing and SAGE.
